small milestone

I've noticed my reading of hiragana has improved! I've been practicing reading using children's stories (unfortunately w/ no transl) and JPod101 lessons which have all possible versions (EN/hira/kanji/romanji). Also have been doing the readings with the RTKanji deck.

When I first started reading the children's story I could barely follow the narrator's voice with the text. I've been doing it periodically, and just now read thru it, and was able to follow through pretty well! I recognize many more characters since I finished the hiragana and have been looking up a lot of things.

Also added the Rikkaichan plugin for Firefox which is pretty awesome. It's basically a dictionary that you just mouseover any kanji and it will tell you all kinds of information.

I think I am going to start compiling a Japanese study links area for the things I use for studying.
